(WLOX) \u2014 Developers presented plans for a mixed-use project at the Long Beach Harbor that would tie in the city\u2019s gateway project with retail spacing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Bellamare Development presented its idea for a project called the West Wall at the Gateway at Long Beach City Hall. The project would include opportunities for retail, food trucks, a playground and self-cleaning restrooms. Developers said the project\u2019s features would give beach-goers the ability to stay longer than just a couple of hours.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cI think all the board members are very excited, and the thing about it is the architect actually did the Gateway project, and he had always had this in mind while he was doing that,\u201d Mayor Tim Pierce said. \u201cNow, it\u2019s just come to an official project.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Following the presentation, the Board of Aldermen voted to enter into negotiations with Bellamare to lease the land.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text text-start\">See a spelling or grammar error in this story?
