As unseasonable heat continues to grow this weekend and next week, so will the heat risk.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tFriday forecast<\/p>\n
The morning will start off pleasant, with some low clouds and possible mist in parts of the valley. <\/p>\n
Those clouds are expected to clear by late morning, giving way to full sunshine for the rest of the day. <\/p>\n
Temperatures will run a bit warmer this afternoon, with highs peaking in the mid 80s. <\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tMore heat each day<\/p>\n
The warming trend will continue through the weekend, when highs are expected to rise into the upper 80s and low 90s. <\/p>\n
Expect a light and refreshing Delta breeze to return in the afternoons.<\/p>\n
This early summer heat will last into the start of next week.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tWarm Mother’s Day<\/p>\n
Mother\u2019s Day will be a warm one across the region, with 90s forecast for the first time this season in Sacramento. <\/p>\n
The weather for morning brunch, however, will be very comfortable.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tGrowing heat risk<\/p>\n
The hottest part of this stretch is expected to arrive Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures are forecast to run about 20 degrees above normal. <\/p>\n
Monday, in particular, could push into record heat territory as highs approach the upper 90s. <\/p>\n
With our first 90-degree days in the forecast, moderate heat risk will return to the Valley with a few areas of major heat risk. <\/p>\n
It is important that we remember to drink plenty of water and try to rearrange outdoor activities for cooler parts of the day, in the morning and evening.<\/p>\n
\t\t\t\tFoothills & Sierra 7-day forecast<\/p>\n
In the Sierra, high temperatures will climb into the 80s, likely setting new daily record highs.<\/p>\n

Relief does appear to be on the horizon, with cooling expected to begin by late next week. <\/p>\n
