{"id":30873,"date":"2025-10-30T22:09:11","date_gmt":"2025-10-30T22:09:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/30873\/"},"modified":"2025-10-30T22:09:11","modified_gmt":"2025-10-30T22:09:11","slug":"woman-pleads-not-guilty-in-killing-of-condor-club-manager-outside-his-santa-rosa-home","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/30873\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman pleads not guilty in killing of Condor Club manager outside his Santa Rosa home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 25-year-old Dublin woman pleaded not guilty Tuesday to helping her boyfriend in the killing of the manager of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pressdemocrat.com\/2025\/10\/03\/man-found-dead-with-gunshot-wounds-near-sonoma-county-fairgrounds\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> San Francisco\u2019s historic Condor Club<\/a> outside his Santa Rosa home.<\/p>\n<p>A Sonoma County judge allowed Asia Lozano Morton to await trial outside jail under strict supervision and set her next court date for Dec. 4, according to court records.<\/p>\n<p>Morton must wear a GPS ankle monitor, surrender her passport and get permission from the court before leaving California. She\u2019s also barred from owning guns or using drugs and from contacting her boyfriend, Richard Lund.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday\u2019s hearing was Morton\u2019s first court appearance <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pressdemocrat.com\/2025\/10\/25\/2-arrested-in-killing-of-santa-rosa-man-who-managed-san-franciscos-condor-club\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">since her arrest Friday<\/a> in the Oct. 3 shooting death of Mark Calcagni.<\/p>\n<p>Lund, 43, remains in custody without bail. Police say he\u2019s accused of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pressdemocrat.com\/2025\/10\/27\/firing-at-san-franciscos-condor-club-may-have-led-to-santa-rosa-managers-killing-police-say\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">shooting Calcagni five times<\/a> near Calcagni\u2019s home on Brookwood Avenue before driving off in a Toyota RAV4.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators believe the killing was planned and may be connected to Calcagni\u2019s decision to fire Lund and Morton from their jobs at the Condor Club, a North Beach landmark known as the nation\u2019s first topless bar.<\/p>\n<p>Police arrested Lund at his home in Dublin. Morton was taken into custody at San Francisco International Airport when she returned from a trip to Spain.<\/p>\n<p>Police said Calcagni had returned home from work around 5 a.m. when he was shot.
