(Photo courtesy of the city of San Diego)<\/p>\n<p>A low pressure system moving down the West Coast will bring widespread rain and gusty winds to San Diego County through Tuesday night, though no significant flooding is expected. <\/p>\n<p>The storm will deliver the bulk of its precipitation on Tuesday afternoon as a frontal band sweeps across the region from northwest to southeast, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weather.gov\/sgx\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">National Weather Service<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Northern San Diego County can expect a half-inch to 1 inch of rain, with downtown areas receiving a quarter-inch to a half-inch, with localized higher amounts possible.<\/p>\n<p>Temperatures will remain 5 to 15 degrees below average through Tuesday, forecasters said. <\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Moderate to heavy rain for most of the area Tue, spurring a Flood Advisory for inland Orange CO &amp; the San Bernardino mtns.\ud83d\udca7 Don\u2019t underestimate the power of water. Wind-prone mountain passes and canyons could see gusts exceeding 60 mph, according to the weather agency. <\/p>\n<p>Coastal areas will experience building surf on Tuesday, reaching 3 to 5 feet with occasional sets to 6 feet, creating a high rip current risk. <\/p>\n<p>Conditions will improve Wednesday as the storm exits the region.
