A 75-year-old bicyclist has died more than a week after a driver struck him on a rural Peninsula road, authorities said Monday.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The crash happened at about 12:15 p.m. on May 1, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff\u2019s Office. Deputies responded to a 911 call about a collision between a car and a bicyclist on the 1400 block of Portola Road in Woodside.\u00a0<\/p>\n
When deputies and emergency responders arrived, they found the 75-year-old man unconscious and suffering from serious injuries, the sheriff\u2019s office said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He was taken to a hospital for treatment, but died of his injuries Monday, the sheriff\u2019s office said. The man has not been publicly identified.<\/p>\n
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. There is no indication that alcohol or drug use played a role in the crash.<\/p>\n
