(KGET) \u2014 A hearing to determine if a courtroom is available for the trial of Alan Booth, accused of driving drunk and hitting multiple people at the 2023 Bakersfield Christmas Parade, was postponed Monday at the request of defense counsel.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Tiffany Organ-Bowles set the next hearing for Thursday after defense attorney Jeremy Brehmer, reached by phone, asked for the delay due to a health issue.<\/p>\n<p>Booth, who turned 75 on Friday, faces multiple felony counts for allegedly driving his pickup with a blood-alcohol content more than three times the legal limit and injuring several people.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate case in January, Booth was found guilty of misdemeanor DUI charges.<\/p>\n<p>That case stemmed from an incident months after the crash when Booth drove drunk to Jim Burke Ford to get a tire repaired.
