The Sounders are the only team to beat the Quakes this season (1-0 on March 15) and are the only ones to stop their potent offense. San Jose is tied with Vancouver in scoring a league-leading 27 goals.<\/p>\n
Paul Rothrock bagged the game-winner in the 20th minute for the Sounders against San Jose at PayPal Park in March.<\/p>\n
In the bulk of the Quakes\u2019 other matches, striker Preston Judd is unstoppable. Judd, an afterthought in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft with the 35th overall pick, has a career-high eight goals.<\/p>\n
San Jose is expected to be without German international Timo Werner (leg) and assist-leader Niko Tsakiris (seven) because of injuries.<\/p>\n

The Sounders found an equalizer off a corner kick in their 1-1 draw against San Diego at Lumen last week. It\u2019s their fourth off a set piece, which leads the league. But the Sounders are struggling to score consistently.<\/p>\n
