BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 UPDATE (9:40 A.M.): A section of Martingale Way reopened after the water line and roadway repairs were completed.<\/p>\n
The road reopened at 10 p.m. Monday night.<\/p>\n
The Bear Valley CSD Water Department determined the issue was caused by a hole in a one-inch service line. Once the cause was identified, repairs were completed in approximately one hour.<\/p>\n
In a release, it said, \u201cThe sinkhole was not as large as it initially appeared. It measured approximately three feet by four feet and was roughly three feet deep.\u201d<\/p>\n

Leaks can also be reported online at reportleaks.com<\/a><\/p>\n ————-<\/p>\n A section of Martingale Way was closed Monday night after a sinkhole about 6 feet deep opened in the road, according to the Bear Valley Community Services District.<\/p>\n The sinkhole is in the 24000 block of Martingale.
