(KFSN) &#8212; Two people have been arrested in connection to a deadly stabbing in southeast Fresno. One suspect remains on the run.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Police announced on Monday the arrests of 43-year-old Joey Fernandez and 45-year-old Laura Castillo.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The victim was identified as 38-year-old Alejandro Garcia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Investigators say three suspects drove to Garcia&#8217;s home on Garrett and Barton avenues back on September 28.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">An argument took place before *Garcia* was stabbed multiple times.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">He died at the hospital.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Castillo was arrested one day after the stabbing during a search warrant.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Fernandez was already in custody at the Fresno County jail after police say he took off to avoid a traffic stop on October 7.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Police say the car Fernandez was driving matched the description of a car used in the deadly stabbing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Anyone with information on the third suspect is asked to contact Fresno police.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2025 KFSN-TV.
