It’s playoff time, and Anaheim<\/a> had no trouble coming through when it counted. They never let the Flintridge Sacred Heart Tologs<\/a> get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Friday. The Colonists might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by seven runs or more this season.<\/p>\n Chloe Tabita<\/a> made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn’t allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn’t given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter’s box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.<\/p>\n In other batting news, Jenelle Monzon<\/a> and Kamila Ramirez<\/a> did most of the damage at the plate: Monzon went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base, while Ramirez got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That’s the most doubles Monzon has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Mak Acosta<\/a>, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one run.<\/p>\n Anaheim always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .655. They are a perfect 13-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.<\/p>\n Anaheim has been performing incredibly well recently as they’ve won 12 of their last 14 games. That’s provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Flintridge Sacred Heart, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That’s put a noticeable dent in their 16-12 record this season.<\/p>\n Anaheim will take on Santa Clara at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Colonists’ pitchers better be ready for this one: the Saints have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season. Flintridge Sacred Heart does not have any more games scheduled as of now.<\/p>\n
