HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — The Goodyear blimp has landed! Did you see it?

Friday, the iconic behemoth touched down on the Huntington Beach shore as part of the announcement of the upcoming 10th annual Pacific Air Show. It’s been over 80 years since the blimp has attempted such a feat, according to the City of Huntington Beach.

Before it landed, it floated over the Huntington Beach Pier, as a spokesperson for Visit Huntington Beach said, “Only in Surf City, USA.”

Surfers on the waves and volleyball tournament attendees paused to watch the spectacle early Friday morning.
