(KERO) \u2014 California State University, Bakersfield\u2019s University Police Department is now hiring students for part-time positions as Community Service Officers.<\/p>\n<p>            <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/1779214089_708_.png\" alt=\"f43e2dbb-de93-419d-866a-e90ebf063f52.png\"  width=\"494\" height=\"652\"\/><\/p>\n<p>CSUB University Police Department<\/p>\n<p>According to a recruitment flyer posted by the department, the non-sworn positions offer flexible hours, professional development opportunities, and hands-on training and experience for students interested in public safety or law enforcement careers.<\/p>\n<p>The department says Community Service Officers assist with a variety of campus safety responsibilities, including patrolling parking lots and designated areas, enforcing parking regulations, providing motorist assistance, and conducting lock and unlock services.<\/p>\n<p>Students in the role may also offer safety escorts, complete written reports, and operate motorized carts.
