He also faced earlier weapons-related charges filed in July 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A federal arrest warrant for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution was issued in August 2024 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California as authorities worked to locate Lee and recover the children.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Officials emphasized that charges are allegations and that all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The FBI said the case involved a nearly six-month international effort supported by multiple agencies.
