Grab the popcorn because California Democrats are turning CA-48 into a full-blown circular firing squad. Socialist Ammar Campa-Najjar and Progressive Marni von Wilpert are locked in a nasty primary that’s now dragged even former Senator Barbara Boxer into the chaos.

Boxer didn’t just break with Ammar, she torched him, warning Democrats he’s a “three-time loser” and bluntly declaring: “I know a phony when I see a phony.”

""

No matter who survives this Democrat demolition derby, they’ll limp into the general election battered, broke, and exposed as completely out of touch with hardworking Californians who are sick of the chaos, crime, and far-left insanity coming out of Sacramento and Washington.

“It doesn’t matter whether it’s Socialist Ammar Campa-Najjar or Progressive Marni von Wilpert, California Democrats are in full-blown meltdown mode in CA-48. The two of them are locked in a nasty race to the far left, clawing at each other while voters get a front-row seat to the chaos, extremism, and dysfunction consuming today’s Democrat Party that has driven up the cost of living, made communities less safe, and pushed hardworking Californians to pack up and leave the state.” – NRCC spokesman Christian Martinez

May 19, 2026 Grab the popcorn because California Democrats are turning CA-48 into a full-blown circular firing squad.
