Free basketball camp being held for kids this weekend in Sacramento

WELL HELPING SACRAMENTO COUNTY KIDS GET SOME TIME ON THE COURT FOR FREE. TWO LOCAL HIGH SCHOOLERS HAVE THEY CREATED A BASKETBALL CAMP FOR KIDS. AND JOINING US THIS MORNING, THE MINDS BEHIND THE ENTIRE IDEA. WE HAVE ALEXANDER DE LEON AND MASON TRAORE. THANK YOU BOTH SO MUCH FOR JOINING US THIS MORNING. THANK YOU FOR HAVING US. THANK YOU. WHAT A GREAT IDEA. I MEAN A GREAT OPPORTUNITY. SO HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THE IDEA TO GET NOT JUST TOGETHER A BASKETBALL CAMP, BUT TO DO ONE AT NO COST? WELL, I THINK THIS IS SOMETHING WE’VE BEEN WANTING TO DO FOREVER SINCE WE WERE JUST BECAME FRIENDS. AND JUST NOW WE’VE REALLY BEEN WORKING AT IT. AND AT FIRST WE WERE WONDERING HOW IT’S GOING TO WORK AND THE DYNAMIC OF IT. AND THEN WE REALIZED NOT EVERYONE HAS THE PRIVILEGE TO BE ABLE TO AFFORD A BASKETBALL CAMP, BECAUSE THERE’S SO MUCH NOWADAYS, AND WE JUST WANT TO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR PEOPLE TO CREATE COMMUNITY, BUILD RELATIONSHIPS AND GET BETTER. SO WE JUST KIND OF REALLY PUT OUR MINDS TOGETHER, WORKED REALLY HARD, BOTH OF US. AND YEAH, AND NOW WE’RE HERE. AND, AND AGAIN, ALL OF THIS YOU GOT DONE FOR FREE BECAUSE YOU FOLKS ARE GETTING SOME SPONSORS FOR THIS EVENT. CAN YOU TOUCH ON THAT JUST A LITTLE BIT? SO SPONSORS HAVE HELPED US IN MANY WAYS, LIKE STEP BACK THREE HAS PRODUCED ALL THE SHIRTS FOR THE CAMP. AND THEN WE HAVE A GECKO THAT’S SUPPLYING WITH LIKE PRIZES FOR THE KIDS TO WIN. AND THEN NEXT, NEXT UP ATHLETES WILL BE LIKE COVERING THE WHOLE EVENT WITH LIKE FILM AND STUFF. SO THEY’VE HELPED IN MANY WAYS, LIKE WITH THE CAMP AND MAKING IT WAY EASIER FOR US TO PUT IT ON. AND WE APPRECIATE THEM FOR DOING THAT. BUT THEY MOSTLY REACHED OUT BECAUSE LIKE OF OUR SOCIAL MEDIA FOLLOWING. YEAH. SO IT WOULD BE EASIER TO PROMOTE LIKE THEIR BRAND. AND IT’S LIKE A WIN WIN SITUATION FOR ALL OF US. ABSOLUTELY WIN WIN FOR EVERYBODY ALL THE WAY AROUND. SO TALK A LITTLE BIT ABOUT WHO THIS CAMP IS FOR YOU BOTH ARE STILL IN HIGH SCHOOL, CORRECT. SAYING JUST YOUR PEERS. YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT A LITTLE YEAH, WE’RE TALKING ABOUT FOURTH THROUGH EIGHTH GRADE. OKAY. AND I THINK IT’S GOING TO BE SUPER FUN. I HAVE A BROTHER IN THE EIGHTH GRADE, SO HIM AND HIS FRIENDS ARE GOING, AND I THINK IT’S SUPER IMPORTANT FOR THEM TO COME TOO, BECAUSE THEY GET TO NOT JUST LOOK UP TO US, BUT OTHER PEOPLE WHO ARE GOING TO BE AT THE CAMP HELPING OUT AND REALLY LEAVE GOOD IMPRESSIONS AND BE A GOOD ROLE MODEL AND KIND OF MODEL HOW BASKETBALL IS SUPPOSED TO BE PLAYED, NOT JUST ON THE COURT, BUT WITH YOUR ATTITUDE AND DEMEANOR, THE WAY YOU TREAT OTHERS. SO I THINK IT’S REALLY IMPORTANT TO HAVE THOSE KIND OF AGES THERE. ALL RIGHT. GIVE US SOME DETAILS ON THE CAMP. WHERE IS IT BEING HELD, THE DATE? AND THEN ALSO HOW CAN FOLKS SIGN UP? OKAY, SO THIS CAMP IS MAY 23RD. SO THIS SATURDAY AND IT’S FROM FOURTH GRADE TO EIGHTH GRADE. SO IF YOU’RE IN ANY OF THOSE GRADES, YOU CAN COME FOR FREE. AND THEN IT’S GOING TO BE FROM 10 A.M. TO 1 P.M. AND A SIGN UP SHOULD BE ON THE QR CODE THAT’S ON THE SCREEN. OR YOU CAN GO TO MY INSTAGRAM SIMPLY UNDERSCORE ALEXANDER 3 OR 0, SIMPLY UNDERSCORE ALEXANDER ZERO. AND YOU CAN CLICK THE LINK IN MY BIO TO REGISTER FOR FREE. VERY NICE GUYS. THANK YOU SO MU
