International law firm Faegre Drinker<\/a> announced on 18 May that it has welcomed Matthew McCullough to its intellectual property group. He will be based in the firm\u2019s San Francisco office.<\/p>\n McCullough\u2019s move marks a departure from Winston & Strawn after nine years with the firm, rising through the ranks from associate to partner during his tenure. His career to date also includes time spent at Fish & Richardson\u2019s Redwood City office.<\/p>\n With a practice that focuses on intellectual property litigation<\/a>, McCullough boasts significant expertise in high-tech patent<\/a> and trade secrets litigation concerning AI, cloud services and infrastructure, network security, telecoms and other cutting-edge technologies. He works with clients, engineers and expert witnesses to build cases and prepares, takes and defends expert witness depositions.<\/p>\n His experience spans the district courts, the International Trade Commission and the US Patent and Trademark Office where he guides clients through complex forensic analysis and discovery as well as arguing critical motions, including invalidating asserted patents and opposing party\u2019s experts.<\/p>\n Intellectual property group leader Jared Briant commented: \u201cMatt\u2019s successful track record litigating complex patent and trade secrets cases sets him apart in the IP space.
