In Long Beach<\/a>, wood framing is taking shape for a new affordable housing complex from Jamboree Housing Corporation<\/a>\u00a0just east of the A Line.<\/p>\n

The project at 101 E. Pacific Coast Highway<\/a>, named The 101 for its address, consists of a five-story building which will eventually feature 52 one- and two-bedroom apartments above parking for 20 vehicles.<\/p>\n

Jamboree Housing will reserve the apartments for renters earning up to 30 percent of the area median income level.<\/p>\n

Y&M Architects<\/a> is designing the contemporary podium-type building, which will also include a community room, offices for on-site staff, and an outdoor amenity area.<\/p>\n

Jamboree financed the more than $40-million project using a mix of state, local, and private sources.<\/p>\n

Other upcoming projects from the Orange County-based development firm include an affordable housing complex slated for a Metro-adjacent property in Duarte.<\/a><\/p>\n
