FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (FOX26) \u2014 A man is in critical condition after being severely stabbed on Thursday morning in Prather.<\/p>\n
The Fresno County Sheriff\u2019s Office says deputies first received a call of a stabbing around 9 AM in the parking lot of the Prather Post Office on Auberry Road, near Highway 168.<\/p>\n
When deputies arrived, they found a man in his mid-40s with a severe stab wound.<\/p>\n

The man was rushed by EMS to a waiting helicopter and was flown to the hospital, where he is in critical condition.<\/p>\n
Deputies investigated and were able to identify the suspect as 75-year-old Theodore Gallegos of Prather.<\/p>\n
He was later found and arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.<\/p>\n
His bail is set at $20,000.<\/p>\n
The investigations showed that the two men knew each other, and the stabbing happened during a fist fight in the parking lot.<\/p>\n
Witnesses on the scene told our FOX26 photojournalist that the stabbing victim had his stomach cut open and had to hold it in.<\/p>\n
It cut his belly open. Yeah, his belly was hanging out he had to hold it in.<\/p>\n
