FRENSO, Calif. (KFSN) — Ampersand Ice Cream marked its 11th anniversary with a community block party that brought crowds together to celebrate local businesses and sweet treats.<\/p>\n
The annual event took place Sunday afternoon at Echo and Weldon, where people lined up outside the popular ice cream shop for a scoop and merchandise. The celebration also featured local vendor booths and food trucks, drawing both longtime customers and newcomers to the neighborhood gathering.<\/p>\n
Owner Jeff Bennett reflected on the milestone and the shop’s growth over the past decade.<\/p>\n
“When we first opened, we never thought the 11-year mark would come around, and it feels like just yesterday that we opened this shop here on Echo and Wledon,” Bennett said.<\/p>\n
The block party has become a tradition for the business, giving the community a chance to come together each year.<\/p>\n
“Our annual block party always brings the whole neighborhood out and all of our regular guests out. Today, we had a line pretty much down the block all afternoon, and it’s great. It’s great to see everybody,” Bennett said.<\/p>\n
In addition to food and merchandise, the event featured live music, which added to the festive atmosphere.<\/p>\n
