OAKLAND CITY, Ind. (WFIE) – All work, no pay – that\u2019s what employees at Oakland City University have been dealing with for a whole month.<\/p>\n

OCU staff have now missed two paychecks, all while the university decides their next steps. <\/p>\n

One month ago, OCU filed \u201cWARN\u201d notices<\/a> in the event employees needed to be let go due to financial challenges.<\/p>\n

At the time, school officials told us there were no immediate plans to close the school. <\/p>\n

This week, we learned the university will be laying off some of their employees, but which departments exactly were not disclosed.<\/p>\n

Additionally, OCU announced they have suspended all of their undergraduate programs, meaning many of their students will need to find a new university.<\/p>\n

Despite all of this, OCU spokesperson Todd Mosby says the university has finalized a \u201cstrategic partnership\u201d that should allow them to keep operations running.<\/p>\n

OCU has 112 full-time faculty and staff, as well as 37 adjunct instructors. There are 548 students, including on-campus and online.<\/p>\n
