Officers arrested a hit-and-run suspect who they say returned to the scene of the incident.<\/p>\n

Fresno police Sgt. Diana Trueba Vega said the matter unfolded around 8 p.m. on Monday.<\/p>\n

The crash happened near Olive and Rowell avenues, leaving a victim in critical but stable condition, Trueba Vega said.<\/p>\n

The suspect, Yzamar Mendez Cortez, is accused of fleeing the scene.<\/p>\n

Trueba Vega said officers took her into custody after Mendez Cortez retuned to the scene during the investigation.<\/p>\n

Authorities don\u2019t suspect drugs or alcohol as being a factor in the crash.<\/p>\n

Mendez Cortez was charged with felony hit-and-run and driving with a suspended driver\u2019s license. She was released Tuesday afternoon on $15,000 bail, Fresno County Jail booking records show.<\/p>\n

Police said a second, separate crash happened around the same area shortly afterward at Olive and Cedar avenues. The rider fell off his bike and had non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
