We are currently reviewing potential extradition.”

The L.A. District Attorney’s Office said Radimak was convicted in Los Angeles County for a “series of road-rage assaults” involving multiple separate incidents and victims across multiple agencies between March 17, 2022, and Jan. 11, 2023.

Don’t miss out on what’s happening!

Stay in touch with breaking news, as it happens, conveniently in your email inbox. It’s FREE!

“The outcome in this case reflects changes in sentencing law, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation regulations and policies adopted under (the District Attorney’s Office) prior administration,” it said.

Radimak was sentenced March 10, 2023, to five years in one case and on Sept., 11, 2023, to a concurrent three-year term in another case, with custody credits applied. “He was released on parole Aug. 28, 2024, later transferred to Hawaii under the interstate compact,” the L.A. District Attorney’s Office said.

Radimak had been accused of assault, criminal threats, vandalism and elder abuse in 2023, entered a plea, and received a five-year sentence, but after serving just a year, he was paroled, Allred said.

Radimak’s Honolulu attorney Rosa Flores said after sentencing Radimak would not be extradited because his parole expires in August. After serving his sentence, he could potentially be released from prison in Hawaii, depending on where he is imprisoned, and will be able to continue treatment for his mental
illnesses.

Allred and the victims praised Judge Clarissa Malinao’s sentence, which will keep Radimak incarcerated for the next six years.

Malinao sentenced Radimak, who pleaded no contest to the Hawaii charges, to five years for first-degree unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and one year each for two counts of third-degree assault, to be served consecutively. She gave him one year credit for time served.

Radimak, driving a Tesla, sped past an 18-year-old driver, nearly clipping her car as she was parking on Halekauwila Street in
Kakaako.

The young woman yelled to slow down. He turned his Tesla around, yelled at her, got out of his car, punched her in the jaw and shoulder, then punched her mother, 35, in the face.

“Our hearts go out to the victims of Nathaniel Radimak in Hawaii as well as the other victims here in Los Angeles, and there were a number of them that I also represented,” Allred said.

“Many of the alleged victims of this defendant in L.A. had previously expressed their concern for the safety of others if he did not receive a longer sentence in Los Angeles, and given what happened in Hawaii, their concerns were justified.

“Reportedly Radimak was released early in Los Angeles because of overcrowding,” she said. “If this is true, it is shocking that a violent criminal — clearly a danger to others — was released early and that he received no meaningful justice until he struck again in Hawaii and was convicted there.”

Vivian Romero said she was driving in West Hollywood in 2022 with her 92-year-old mother down
an alleyway when Radimak drove toward them.

“He rolled down his window and began shouting repeatedly. He continued advancing toward them, threw a soda can and missed, approached their car and struck her window and threatened to kill her. A valet intervened “in a serious and bloody altercation,” protecting them.

Romero, whose mother died Monday, felt it was important to speak out at the news conference on her mother’s behalf and “on behalf of all victims of Mr. Radimak’s rage.”

She said, “knowing the justice system in Hawaii took action brings a measure of relief. At the same time it highlights a painful reality: One individual criminal’s behavior can impact communities across multiple cities in multiple states.”

Victim Beth Lamprecht said: “In light of the recent sentencing of Mr. Radimak,
I feel that justice has finally been served. For years, there were pleas for keeping this dangerous individual from hurting others. While those warnings went unheeded, today we finally have accountability. …

“I genuinely hope he receives the treatment he admits he needs. … One day he will be released. He will be driving on the roads, standing in our grocery lines and moving through the same spaces as my loved ones and you and your loved ones.”

The L.A. District Attorney’s Office said: “Although he was convicted of serious felonies, none qualified as ‘violent’” under state law, “making him eligible for early release consideration under Proposition 57. California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation regulations … allow up to 66% credit earning for nonviolent offenses, which significantly reduces time served.”

Prominent attorney Gloria Allred, who represented multiple women who were victims of convicted Southern California serial road-rage driver…

[6
7,9,8,128150,14596
post-335767","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-california","tag-california","tag-california-headlines","tag-california-news","tag-crime-in-hawaii","tag-editors
["GET
