The Bulldogs compete in the Mountain West Conference.<\/p>\n<p>The Valencia High School graduate spent two seasons with the Cougars, earning All-Western State Conference (WSC) accolades in both years, before accepting a scholarship offer from the Bulldogs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe culture at Fresno State,\u201d said Farrell, about choosing his next destination. \u201cI\u2019m just happy to go in there and try to be a part of that culture and just play my heart out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Farrell was one of two Cougars to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cocathletics.com\/sports\/bsb\/2025-26\/releases\/20260430pk4svh\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">earn All-WSC, South First-Team<\/a>\u00a0honors in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The right-fielder led the Cougars with a .369 batting average and tied for the team lead with 11 home runs. His 13 doubles were also a team high as were his 53 RBIs and 62 hits.<\/p>\n<p>Farrell\u2019s .455 on-base percentage was tops on the club among eligible candidates. He also slugged .643 to lead the Cougars, while his 45 runs scored and 108 total bases were both team bests.<\/p>\n<p>As a freshman in 2025, Farrell batted .320, stole 10 bases, scored 30 runs and recorded 21 RBIs. He slugged .443 on the year and reached base the hard way on 15 occasions.\u00a0Those numbers earned him\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cocathletics.com\/sports\/bsb\/2024-25\/releases\/20250508n8f9cy\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">All-WSC, South Second-Team honors<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was super blessed to have had the opportunity to play for Coach Cota at COC,\u201d commented Farrell. \u201cMy dad went there, my mom went there, both of brothers went there. It was just the right move for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Off the field, Farrell was one of six\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cocathletics.com\/general\/2025-26\/releases\/20260515nxcbf4\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Student-Athlete Academic Excellence Award winners<\/a>\u00a0honored during the athletic department\u2019s annual awards banquet.<\/p>\n<p>In 2026, Canyons (18-22, 11-10)\u00a0won four of its final five games down the stretch to finish in a three-way tie for third in the WSC, South Division.<\/p>\n<p>Farrell is the first member of the Cougars\u2019 2026 roster to announce his signing to a four-year program.
