{"id":338505,"date":"2026-05-30T02:12:24","date_gmt":"2026-05-30T02:12:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/338505\/"},"modified":"2026-05-30T02:12:24","modified_gmt":"2026-05-30T02:12:24","slug":"man-armed-with-knife-barricaded-himself-into-an-oakland-park-apartment-building-bso-says","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/338505\/","title":{"rendered":"Man armed with knife barricaded himself into an Oakland Park apartment building, BSO says"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/tag\/broward-county\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Broward<\/a> authorities are responding to a scene where a man barricaded himself in an Oakland Park apartment building on Friday evening. <\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/tag\/broward-sheriffs-office\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Broward Sheriff&#8217;s Office<\/a>, they received a report of a man armed with a knife in the 800 block of West <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/tag\/oakland-park-boulevard\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Oakland Park Boulevard <\/a>shortly before 6 p.m. <\/p>\n<p>Broward deputies as well as Oakland Park Fire Rescue crews are on scene, where the man retreated inside an apartment and barricaded himself, according to BSO. <\/p>\n<p>BSO has evacuated the surrounding apartments as a precaution. BSO&#8217;s K-9 unit, its Violent Crimes unit, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/miami\/tag\/swat\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-invalid-url-rewritten-http=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">SWAT<\/a> also responded. <\/p>\n<p>No additional information has been released due to the investigation being active and ongoing.
