A 3-year-old child in the Kia, who was wearing a seat belt but not secured in a child safety seat, suffered life-threatening injuries. Why fellow Dems are upset

Nav Gurm, a 26-year-old attorney running for Fresno City Council District 7, received the maximum $5,500 donation from Youth Save Democracy, a PAC he cofounded. Experts say the PAC’s spending stands out because roughly 83% of its budget goes to operational costs rather than political contributions. Of about $297,159 spent on political races between January and March 2025, roughly $58,800 went to Fresno entities and candidates. Click here for full story.

Dictrict 1 candidate Rob Fuentes seen during a Fresno City Council forum held by The Fresno Bee Friday, April 17, 2026, in downtown Fresno ERIC PAUL ZAMORA ezamora@fresnobee.com Who does Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer support in city, county, gubernatorial races?

Mayor Jerry Dyer is endorsing three Fresno City Council candidates — Rob Fuentes in District 1, Danielle Parra in District 5 and Nav Gurm in District 7 — saying they align with his views on public safety, housing and smart growth.
