Republican Steve Hilton sits close behind in third place with 21%, while Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco is polling at 12%. Former Congresswoman Katie Porter rounds out the top candidates with 5%.<\/p>\n<p>The results mark the first time this year that two Democrats have emerged as frontrunners in the race.<\/p>\n<p>Under California\u2019s top-two primary system, the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes on Tuesday will advance to the general election in November, regardless of party affiliation.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, betting markets are also signaling strong momentum for Becerra heading into the general election. Current odds place him as the favorite to win the governor\u2019s race in November with a 68% chance of victory. Tom Steyer follows at 20%, while Steve Hilton stands at 9%.<\/p>\n<p>Locally, Riverside County voters are preparing to cast ballots in several races.
