(FOX26) \u2014 A Fresno family\u2019s trip to Arizona to celebrate a relative\u2019s college graduation ended in tragedy after a crash in San Bernardino County killed twin 4-year-old girls and left the rest of the family in mourning.<\/p>\n<p>The family was traveling on Friday, May 22nd for a family graduation. <\/p>\n<p>In the car were Sergio Leon, his brother, Antonio Leon, his wife Hermina Hernandez, and the couple\u2019s twin 4-year-old girls, Nyah and Naomi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had family members starting to arrive. As they were arriving that family, Sergio, Antonio, Naya, Naomi, and Mini never showed up,\u201d Itzia Zamarripa, a family cousin, said. <\/p>\n<p>Just after eight in the morning., the California Highway Patrol responded to a crash on eastbound State Route 62 near the city of Freda. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wp.sbcounty.gov\/sheriff\/media-center\/coroner-press-release\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff\u2019s Department<\/a>, the twins were pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Zamarripa said she received a call that it may have been her missing family.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis car so happened to go into, hit the back of the truck as they entered into the lane and ended up perpendicular to my cousin. So my cousins had no time to react at all,\u201d Zamarripa said. \u201cThey t-boned that car and immediately burst it into flames.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zamarripa said three out of the five bodies had been identified so far, but it was confirmed it was her cousin\u2019s car in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe&#8217;re numb. We&#8217;re just, it&#8217;s been devastating,\u201d Zamarripa said.<\/p>\n<p>Zamarripa said the twins were set to graduate from preschool this Wednesday, June 3rd. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe outpour of support from everybody has been great,\u201d she said. \u201cSo many people have been affected by their, by this loss.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A GoFundMe has been set up for the family, to learn more, click HERE. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"FRESNO, Calif.
