Officials said the man is a documented gang member.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">According to the Anaheim Police Department, it started at 12:10 p.m. at the Casa Bonita Apartments on North Gilbert Street.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Police were looking for a vandalism suspect wanted for reportedly breaking car windows. The man ran from officers and hid in the apartment complex, and that&#8217;s when the SWAT team was called, police said.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Residents reported seeing a large law enforcement presence in the neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">AIR7 video from around 4:30 p.m. shows the man coming out of the building, surrendering without incident. The man was not dressed as officers in tactical gear took him into custody.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Anaheim police described the suspect as a documented gang member from Santa Ana, who lives in Anaheim.
