The shrink-it-and-pink-it mentality was strong, and I struggled to find chic looks that didn\u2019t make me feel like Barbie.<\/p>\n<p>Then I heard about Malbon. Founded in Los Angeles in 2017 by Stephen and Erica Malbon, the brand makes fashion-forward golf clothing for men, women and children. PHOTO BY ERIK STACKPOLE\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The boutique&#8217;s bright and welcoming exterior. <\/p>\n<p>The Malbons live in Carmel-by-the-Sea and enjoy spending time in San Francisco, and in early April, they opened their first Bay Area boutique on Fillmore Street. \u201cWe\u2019ve always had a contingent of people who love the brand and live in San Francisco\u2014we ship a lot of products here, so we know that there\u2019s a great customer base,\u201d explains Erica.
