(KFSN) &#8212; An elderly man has died after crashing into a guardrail on the westbound Highway 168 off-ramp at Herndon Avenue on Monday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">According to the California Highway Patrol, when officers arrived around 1:40 p.m., they found an 86-year-old man in a Volvo XC90 that had collided with a tree in the center median.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Officers performed CPR on the victim, but the man was declared dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Investigators say that the man struck a guardrail along the right shoulder of the off-ramp, causing him to veer left before coming to rest in the median.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">No other vehicles or passengers were involved.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026 KFSN-TV.
