(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 Former Kern County District Attorney<a href=\"https:\/\/bakersfieldnow.com\/search?find=Ed+Jagels\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> Ed Jagels<\/a>, 77, was arrested Monday afternoon after law enforcement stopped the vehicle he was driving on Stockdale Highway, according to arrest records.<\/p>\n<p>Records indicate Jagels was driving around 4:35 p.m. in the 6000 block of Stockdale Highway when he was stopped. He was booked into the Kern County Jail and was being held on $10,000 bail.<\/p>\n<p>Records indicate that he faces two misdemeanor charges: DUI of alcohol and DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over 0.08%. The date of Jagels&#8217; first hearing is pending.<\/p>\n<p>Jagels served as Kern County district attorney from 1983 to 2010, a 28-year tenure.
