Renewable energy technology company Beam Global<\/a> has expanded its EV charger efforts, deploying a set of six additional EV ARC<\/a> solar powered chargers for the City of Long Beach, California<\/a>.<\/p>\n The new solar charging ports consists of four systems for the city\u2019s EV fleet charging operations, as well as two fleet charging systems installed at Long Beach Airport. The systems generate and store electrical energy on-site, allowing for EVs to charge autonomously, and it can be rapidly deployed and relocated as needed, as operational requirements continue to evolve.<\/p>\n Beam Global CEO Desmond Wheatley and his company have helped Long Beach to the solar EV charging boom, which has seen growing opportunities<\/a> throughout this year. <\/p>\n \u201cStudy after study shows that fleet operators who electrify their fleets save money, reduce downtime and maintenance, reduce emissions, and improve working conditions for their employees,\u201d Wheatley says. \u201cBeam Global\u2019s EV charging infrastructure products enable fleet operators to scale up charging infrastructure with the lowest total cost of ownership and with the least disruption. <\/p>\n \u201cThey get to deploy EV charging where they need it without going through lengthy design, engineering, construction, and electrical projects, and they get to operate with zero-unit cost for the electricity that they use to fuel their vehicles.\u201d<\/p>\n Furthering solar charger deployment<\/p>\n The added EV charger deployments expand Beam Global\u2019s presence in California, the company says, demonstrating the rise in demand for solar-driven chargers. The firm says that the EV ARC is the only 100% renewable, transportable, and fully off-grid EV charging option currently available in the U.S. market, and can be deployed in four minutes \u2014 a personal record, the company adds. <\/p>\n \u201cGrid independent, it deploys in minutes with no permitting, no construction, no electrical work and no utility bill,\u201d the company says on the product\u2019s information sheet. \u201cIt will charge electric vehicles with the EV charger brand of your choice, even during grid outages.<\/p>\n \u201cBattery storage allows you to charge during the night, inclement weather and power outages. It fits inside a standard parking space and because vehicles easily park on the base pad you won\u2019t lose a single spot.\u201d<\/p>\n The company also states that these chargers can reach up to a dozen vehicles at once, and can charge six EVs at the same time.
