(KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 Evacuations are underway and streets are closed in downtown Bakersfield due to a bomb threat on Tuesday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>The City of Bakersfield said they are aware of an ongoing incident at a private property near several City buildings in downtown. As a precaution, City Hall North, City Hall South, the Development Services Building, and Bakersfield Police Headquarters are locked down until further notice.<\/p>\n<p>The public will not be able to access these City properties at this time.<\/p>\n<p>Bakersfield police said the areas between 18th and Truxtun Avenue and Chester to H Streets are closed due to a bomb threat within the area.<\/p>\n<p>Evacuations are in progress.<\/p>\n<p>Police said to stay clear of the area.<\/p>\n<p>Comment with Bubbles<\/p>\n<p>BE THE FIRST TO COMMENT<\/p>\n<p>This is a developing story.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"BAKERSFIELD, Calif.
