The officer was reported to be in stable condition.<\/p>\n<p>                Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>            Getty Images\/iStockphoto<\/p>\n<p>An on-duty Fort Worth police officer was injured Tuesday night in a crash with a suspect fleeing from a Department of Public Safety trooper, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>The accident took place on Interstate 30 near Oakland Boulevard. The suspect\u2019s vehicle collided with the officer\u2019s vehicle as it approached the exit, according to police.<\/p>\n<p>The officer was taken to a local hospital and was in stable condition as of Tuesday night, police said. The officer\u2019s name hasn\u2019t been released.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect was taken into custody and transported to a hospital to get checked out, according to police. It\u2019s not clear if the driver has been released from the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Officials haven\u2019t said what led to the initial pursuit. The Star-Telegram has reached out to the Department of Public Safety for more information.<\/p>\n<p>   This is a developing story.
