OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. \u2013 Childs Lake Estates residents in Milford say they have experienced missed trash pickups since late May, leaving some unable to close their cart lids and others putting extra bags on the curb.<\/p>\n
Harvey Raymond said the last time he saw a Priority Waste truck in the neighborhood was May 22. He said he called the company twice on Wednesday (June 3), trying to find out what was happening, but wasn\u2019t able to reach a live person.<\/p>\n
He said he is fed up with trash piling up on the curb in his neighborhood.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have no more room. I am going to have to start putting it on the ground. I have nowhere else to stick it,\u201d Raymond said.<\/p>\n
Neighbors say it\u2019s not just an eyesore.<\/p>\n
\u201cI mean, the whole neighborhood is starting to stink,\u201d said resident Deanna Swim. The garbage is attracting unwanted attention.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have cats and animals and raccoons getting into all the garbage,\u201d resident Amber Newman said.<\/p>\n
Raymond is ready to take matters into his own hands.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am actually going to put stuff in my vehicle and take it to Priority Waste and stick it at their front doors. Maybe that will wake them up,\u201d Raymond said.<\/p>\n
After Local 4 contacted the company, a crew was in the neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon collecting trash.<\/p>\n
Priority Waste told Local 4 that some trucks were down, which affected the route. The company said it is working to add trucks to its fleet to improve service reliability.<\/p>\n
Raymond was not convinced. He said, \u201cI\u2019ll believe it when I see it.\u201d<\/p>\n
