Following its $10.9 billion acquisition of Comerica, Fifth Third Bancorp is closing 75 branches it deems to be \u201coverlapping\u201d across Michigan. These shuttering locations consist of 55 former Comerica branches and 20 existing Fifth Third branches.<\/p>\n
Locations are expected to be closed by the Labor Day weekend.\u00a0 Most of the affected locations have another Fifth Third branch within one mile, according to Fifth Third.<\/p>\n
