{"id":347550,"date":"2026-06-05T04:16:11","date_gmt":"2026-06-05T04:16:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/347550\/"},"modified":"2026-06-05T04:16:11","modified_gmt":"2026-06-05T04:16:11","slug":"sacramento-bricks-minifigs-store-says-its-receiving-threats-over-viral-oregon-lego-controversy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/347550\/","title":{"rendered":"Sacramento Bricks &#038; Minifigs store says it\u2019s receiving threats over viral Oregon LEGO controversy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">(FOX40.COM) \u2014 Employees at Bricks &amp; Minifigs Sacramento say they are receiving threatening calls, emails and voicemails tied to a viral controversy involving a different store in Oregon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A dispute over a LEGO collection valued at more than $200,000 at a Bricks &amp; Minifigs store in Oregon has gained national attention online.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Despite having no involvement in the case, Sacramento store employees say they have been targeted by people upset about the situation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cWe are flooded lately with derogatory stuff, and we have nothing to do with any of the controversy,\u201d said Dylan Anderson, General Manager of Bricks &amp; Minifigs Sacramento.<\/p>\n<p><a data-ylk=\"ct:story;elm:img;itc:0;\" class=\"stretched-box\" href=\"https:\/\/fox40.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2026\/06\/Image-27.jpg\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><img alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"900\" height=\"675\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"rounded-lg\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/52729faa3691c89ba5da0fefefb6f7bb.jpeg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Anderson said the store has filed multiple police reports with the Sacramento Police Department after receiving threatening messages.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cThere are active police reports. I do my best to grab every call so that I can protect my staff,\u201d Anderson said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The Sacramento location is independently owned and operated. Anderson said while he understands people are passionate about the controversy, local employees should not be blamed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cWe understand people feel passionate and we want the harassment to stop,\u201d Anderson said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Customers agree.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cAs an independently owned Sacramento store, this harassment that is going on, we don\u2019t deserve that,\u201d said customer Reggie Lowe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Store leaders are asking the public not to target Sacramento employees over a dispute they say has nothing to do with their business.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
