BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK\/KBFX) \u2014 UPDATE (8:08 PM)<\/p>\n

Rosamond residents who live in KRN-152-A and KRN-153-A are under evacuation warnings<\/a>, once again, according to the Genasys Protect app.<\/p>\n

The evacuation center at Rosamond High School has stood down and is no longer open as the order was downgraded. <\/p>\n

Residents should still prepare to leave at any moment, right away if necessary.<\/p>\n

UPDATE (7:45 PM)<\/p>\n

Residents who live in Genasys Protect areas KRN-152-A and KRN-153-A are ordered to evacuate, according to the Genasys Protect app.<\/p>\n

An evacuation center has been set up at:<\/p>\n

Rosamond High School
2925 West Rosamond Boulevard<\/p>\n

Animal services will assist residents with sheltering animals at the center.<\/p>\n

For those who have physical limitations and require evacuation assistance, they are asked to call the Aging & Adult Services hotline at 1-855-264-6565.<\/p>\n

For those with access and functional needs, special needs sheltering equipment is available at open shelter locations. This doesn’t include oxygen concentrators or medication, said officials.<\/p>\n

A 1,000-plus-acre wildfire in southeast Kern and Los Angeles counties has prompted evacuation warnings for Rosamond residents who live in Genasys Protect areas KRN-152-A and KRN-153-A<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cal Fire said the “Macy Fire” has burned 1,194 acres so far<\/a>.<\/p>\n

People should prepare to leave at any time. ReadyKern said the so-called “Macy Fire” has become a threat to residents south of Rosamond, which borders Los Angeles County<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The wildfire started just before 3:45 p.m. in the area of Highway 138 and 120th Street West in Lancaster, said Cal Fire’s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Los Angeles County Fire Department said some residents in Lancaster are being asked to shelter in place.<\/p>\n

The cause of the fire is under investigation.<\/p>\n
