The large outdoor beer garden with bocce ball courts, arcade, bowling alley, and restaurant announced it is closing its doors later this summer after nearly a dozen years in Jack London Square. The 45,500 square foot entertainment space that opened in 2014 was custom built<\/a> for the area after Barnes and Noble shuttered in 2010. Plank stated that slow sales<\/a> in the past two years combined with rising costs as the reason for it closing. Plank is slated to close on August 2. plank<\/a>, 98 Broadway, Oakland<\/p>\n

Super Slice Pizza<\/p>\n

NOSH reader Kevin shared that Super Slice Pizza in El Cerrito posted a sign on its counter stating that its last day would be May 31. Yelp lists the restaurant as closed and a recorded phone message confirms Super Slice is no more. But, all is not lost.
