Megan Thee Stallion was spotted filming an iconic beach sequence for the upcoming Baywatch reboot in Long Beach, Calif., on Friday (June 5).

The rapper and actress was photographed running along the sand as cameras rolled, recreating the franchise’s signature slow-motion lifeguard run. Several photos show Megan leading a group of lifeguards during the scene while carrying the classic red rescue float made famous by the original series.

For the beach shoot, Megan wore a colorful orange patterned bikini paired with matching accessories and beach-ready waves. Other cast members sported the franchise’s recognizable red lifeguard swimsuits and rescue gear as filming continued along the shoreline.

The upcoming Baywatch reboot is being developed for Fox and will reimagine the beloved action-drama series that became a global phenomenon in the 1990s. Production has been underway in Southern California in recent weeks, with Megan among the stars attached to the project.

Based on these new photos, it looks like the reboot will be paying tribute to one of the most recognizable moments in Baywatch history.

Check out the fiery lyrics teased in Megan‘s unreleased song, which seems to take aim at her ex, Klay Thompson.
