FORTUNA, Calif. – The Northern Division Investigative Services Unit of the California Highway Patrol provided assistance in a multi-agency enforcement operation targeting suspect labor violations and worker exploitation.<\/p>\n
The California Highway patrol says that the operation focused on protecting worker’s rights and safety, holding those who exploit vulnerable members of the community accountable for their crimes.<\/p>\n
At the request of the Fortuna Police Department, undercover personnel from the California Highway Patrol was provided to help support the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n
A search warrant was executed by members of the CHP’s Warrant Service Team and officers from the CHP Humboldt Area Office at the Fortuna Massage and Spa.<\/p>\n
Authorities say that as part of the operation, 47-year-old Delin\u00a0Liu\u00a0of Sacramento was taken into custody on the following charges:<\/p>\n
Maintaining a brothelMaintaining a nuisance houseProstitution<\/p>\n
