We’ve heard plenty of high-profile names listed on trade boards already since the regular season ended. But which ones are really going to get dealt? ESPN Insider Greg Wyshynski<\/a> has ranked all the names out there and has listed eight as ‘Most Likely to be Traded’ this offseason. Here’s how that ‘Elite 8’ looks:<\/p>\n

DeBrusk made it known that he’s not interested in being around for long, drawn-out rebuild in Vancouver, so we imagine the Canucks will grant his wish and move him.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If you hadn’t noticed, Carter Hart is the man between the pipes these days for the Vegas Golden Knights. And while Hill did backstop them to a Cup three years ago, he had his role significantly cut this season (partly due to injuries), and he hasn’t seen a minute of action in the ongoing playoffs. But the 30-year-old still has five years to run on a\u00a0$6.25 million AAV contract, and it’ll be interesting to see how many takers there are. He also has a 10-team no-trade list.<\/p>\n

Kyrou was available at the trade deadline, and by all accounts, will assuredly be dealt this summer. He also has five years to run at a reasonable $8.125M cap hit, for a guy who had three straight 30-goal seasons with about 70 points before a down year in 2025-26 that saw him drop to 18 markers.<\/p>\n

McTavish had a disappointing season with the Ducks after a tumultuous summer in 2025 trying to come to terms on an extension. It got done, midway through training camp, and now he has five years remaining at a $7M AAV despite a 17-goal season. There will undoubtedly be teams clamoring to take him on, however, with the shortage of legit centers on the free agent market, and the promise of McTavish being a solid 2C in the future.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Nurse and Rielly are in similar boats, as both the Oilers and Maple Leafs, respectively, feel it’s time to revamp their bluelines to the point where the longtime veterans should be shipped out for a fresh start elsewhere.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trocheck was one of the most talked-about trade targets at the deadline in March, and will continue to be this summer, as the Rangers have made him available, and he’s as good a 2C trade target as there is out there.\u00a0<\/p>\n
