Back Home Hospitality has opened its first bar concept, Golden Rule at Thrive City, in the space surrounding the Chase Center arena.<\/p>\n

\"Golden\"GoldenThe bar opened at the end of May<\/p>\n

The bar is intended to reflect the Bay Area, celebrating the region\u2019s cultural diversity through the use of local ingredients.<\/p>\n

Its name is taken from the ethical philosophy while also nodding to the Bay Area\u2019s sports teams, the Golden State Warriors and Golden State Valkyries.<\/p>\n

David Nayfeld and Matthew Brewer are behind Back Home Hospitality, with bar director Danielle Peters-Clossey leading the drinks programming at Golden Rule.<\/p>\n

The cocktail menu features nearly 24 cocktails divided into three sections: House Cocktails, Little Treats and Spirit Free.<\/p>\n

From the House Cocktails, the MIP is a slightly smoky, spirit-forward mix of gin, bitter aperitif, musk melon, mezcal, vermouth and Hubba Bubba mist.<\/p>\n

The same section also offers Halftime Snacks, a drink reminiscent of Capri Sun and orange slices, made with vodka, bitter aperitivo, guava eau de vie, pomegranate honey, and lime.<\/p>\n

Little Treats is a selection of miniature cocktails<\/a>, such as the Elevator Pitch, which is lightly carbonated with Bourbon, a Crodino sidecar, aromatic bitters, and orange.<\/p>\n

\"Golden\"GoldenThe (Rad)ish Highball<\/p>\n

Other small cocktails include a Mini Tini and a Snaquiri.<\/p>\n

A selection of wine and beer will also be available.<\/p>\n

Nayfeld has created a menu of snacks that includes peri-peri-spiced nuts and potato chips dusted with chilli and lime. Heartier options include a rotating selection of pizza rolls.<\/p>\n

Jon de la Cruz of DLC ID, a longtime partner of Back Home Hospitality, is behind the interiors, which are designed to feel \u2018welcoming, lively and easy to settle into\u2019.<\/p>\n

Golden Rule has textured walls with bold pops of orange, red and blue, inspired by the Warriors\u2019 original jerseys when they moved to the Bay Area in 1962.<\/p>\n

The bar offers seating for 15, with additional table seating throughout and an outdoor patio seating 30.<\/p>\n
