The medical offices where the shooting happened are separate from the larger Kaiser Permanente hospital and do not have ermergency services.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Police say it&#8217;s an isolated incident and they are continuing to investigate. There is a large police presence and they ask the public to avoid the area.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"960\" height=\"540\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"rounded-lg\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/062bfb61ee9497f0b5f860753c27e995.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">ABC7 Eyewitness News spoke with Lisa Cohn, whose husband is a surgeon at the facility and was a witness.<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p>Advertisement<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;He said that he heard screaming and a SWAT team of police came in all through the building and moved them away from the windows and into a center area of the Kaiser Permanente ophthalmology facility,&#8221; Cohn said. &#8220;And the noise evidently they heard was between the ophthalmology facility and the psychiatry outpatient clinic.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Stay with ABC7 News for updates on this developing story.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Two people have life-threatening injuries after a shooting at Kaiser medical offices in San Jose, police say.
