HOUSTON (WKRC) — A man allegedly snuck onto a flight with a fake boarding pass after exhibiting suspicious behavior in the airport terminal.

According to reporting from local outlets Click2Houston and ABC 13, 25-year-old Abdulrahman Oriyomi was seen “constantly staring at his phone and delaying speaking to a TSA agent” after arriving at the Bush Airport.

After finally speaking with TSA officers and struggling to validate his boarding pass, Oriyomi was taken to a different booth, the outlets reported. Oriyomi had his picture taken before reportedly being allowed to go through security, despite the lack of a valid boarding pass.

At around 7:10 a.m., Oriyomi approached a gate for a plane that was set to depart at 7:15 a.m., the outlets reported. He unsuccessfully attempted to scan his boarding pass twice, reportedly leading to an argument with the gate agent that resulted in him leaving the area.

Oriyomi did not leave the airport, but instead approached a gate roughly an hour later. While the gate employees were busy with other customers, Oriyomi quickly flashed his fake boarding pass and slipped down the jetway corridor, authorities said.

A passenger on the plane said that Oriyomi sat next to her but “seemed unsure if the seat he was in was his,” per records obtained by Click2Houston. Oriyomi went to the bathroom shortly after, but by the time he returned the rightful passenger had taken the seat.

Oriyomi then went to a different bathroom while the plane was taxing, prompting the passenger he initially sat next to to tell the flight attendant that someone was in the bathroom. The flight attendant told Oriyomi to return to his seat, but instead he went to the other bathroom again.

The flight attendant asked Oriyomi to return to his seat again, at which point he asked if he could sit in the jump seat since the plane was full, the outlets reported. The flight attendant asked Oriyomi’s name, and he said it was “Mr. Lopez,” per authorities.

The flight attendant realized “Mr. Lopez” was not a passenger on the plane, and informed airport staff that the plane had to return because of the unauthorized passenger.

Airport investigators learned that Oriyomi had a reservation with United Airlines but that it was cancelled when Oriyomi failed to pay, and the boarding pass he presented may be fake, per the outlets.

Oriyomi was charged with a felony for impairing or interrupting the operation of a critical infrastructure facility.

HOUSTON (WKRC) — A man allegedly snuck onto a flight with a fake boarding pass after exhibiting suspicious…

[35
151,153,152
post-352108","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-bakersfield","tag-bakersfield","tag-bakersfield-headlines","tag-bakersfield-news
["GET
