(KRON<\/a>) \u2014 An Oakland man suspected of being involved in Sunday\u2019s theft of multiple Alameda County Sheriff\u2019s Office vehicles was identified by authorities on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The theft was discovered Sunday morning just after 7 a.m. by sheriff\u2019s office personnel at the Alameda County Parking Garage, located at 165 13th Street in Oakland. Deputies identified five vehicles that were stolen<\/a>, including two belonging to the sheriff\u2019s office, two belonging to another Alameda County agency and one belonging to a rental car company.<\/p>\n

Darryl Roach, 56, was spotted by an AC Transit employee driving one of the stolen vehicles, the sheriff\u2019s office said. Responding deputies conducted a high-risk stop and arrested Roach on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle.<\/p>\n

The remaining four vehicles were located the same day by 4 p.m. through the use of automated license plate reader cameras. Each vehicle was within a 1.5-mile radius of the parking garage, according to authorities.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt this time, investigators have not determined whether additional suspects were involved,\u201d the sheriff\u2019s office wrote Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Officials are reviewing security protocols at the Oakland parking garage to help prevent potential future incidents.<\/p>\n
