OAKLAND \u2014 A 40-year-old man was shot multiple times Tuesday night as he sat in his car in East Oakland, authorities said.<\/p>\n
The man was in stable condition at a hospital recovering from at least three gunshot wounds, authorities said.<\/p>\n
The shooting happened about 9 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Pearmain and Prune streets.<\/p>\n
According to initial police reports, the man had parked his car to get some food at a nearby food truck when someone fired multiple shots at him.\u00a0 It was not known if the shooter was standing on the street or firing from another vehicle.<\/p>\n
Despite his wounds, the man was able to drive to his home several blocks away and call police.<\/p>\n
A motive for the shooting is under investigation.\u00a0 No arrests have been made and no suspect information has been released.<\/p>\n
