Austin Police Department closed the road around 4 a.m. after the crash, according to a social media post. The road reopened at about 6:50 a.m. <\/p>\n

Multiple agencies are responding to a fatal crash in Austin, the city\u2019s police department said on Facebook early Thursday morning.<\/p>\n
Austin Police said the crash on Oakland Place SE, between 10th Street and 11th Street SE is fatal. The road is expected to be closed until further notice, officials said.<\/p>\n
Authorities are asking drivers to avoid the area and plan on taking a different route during their morning commutes.<\/p>\n
