FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) \u2014 Fresno County election officials say an estimated 2,100 ballots still need to be processed following the Primary election, with thousands more ballots potentially eligible to be counted if voters correct signature issues before the state’s deadline.<\/p>\n
According to the Fresno County Elections Office, about 600 conditional voter registration and provisional ballots remain outstanding, along with approximately 1,500 ballots that require duplication before they can be counted.<\/p>\n
In addition, election officials say roughly 3,000 ballots were subject to signature cure procedures as of June 11. Voters whose ballots require signature verification have until 5 p.m. on June 24 to resolve the issue and have their ballots counted.<\/p>\n
The next election results update is scheduled to be released by 5 p.m. on June 15.<\/p>\n

Cantwell-Copher maintains a lead of nearly 20,000 votes over O’Brien as ballot counting continues.<\/p>\n
Fresno City Council District 3Joaquin Arambula: 2,051 votes (29.88%)Keshia Thomas: 1,897 votes (27.64%)Fernando Alvarez Morales: 1,062 votes (15.47%)Tiffany Apodaca: 908 votes (13.23%)Larry Tyrone Burrus: 420 votes (6.12%)Jalen Swank: 362 votes (5.27%)Charles Montoya: 147 votes (2.14%)<\/p>\n
Arambula currently leads Thomas by 154 votes. Neither candidate has received more than 50% of the vote, putting the race on track for a runoff between the top two finishers.<\/p>\n
Fresno City Council District 1 Naindeep Singh: 4,372 votes (38.20%)Rob Fuentes: 4,184 votes (36.55%)Joe Hinojosa: 1,493 votes (13.04%)Monte Forkas: 1,354 votes (11.83%)<\/p>\n
District 1 remains one of the closest races on the ballot, with Singh leading Fuentes by just 188 votes.<\/p>\n
Countywide turnout currently stands at 34.12%, with 179,948 ballots cast out of 527,431 registered voters.<\/p>\n
Election officials say vote totals will continue to change as remaining ballots are reviewed and counted in the coming days.<\/p>\n
