Police found the father\u2019s body in the driveway, and Oakland County Sheriff\u2019s deputies took Legard into custody.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/please-donate-a-tragic-loss-of-a-devoted-father-husband?utm_medium=customer&amp;utm_source=copy_link&amp;utm_campaign=fp_sharesheet&amp;lang=en_US&amp;attribution_id=sl%3A8a758941-46aa-46e3-9862-3a48d003e09d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">A GoFundMe was created to help support the family<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clickondetroit.com\/news\/local\/2024\/09\/20\/prosecutor-oakland-county-man-kills-neighbor-sexually-assaults-victims-wife-daughter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.clickondetroit.com\/news\/local\/2024\/09\/20\/prosecutor-oakland-county-man-kills-neighbor-sexually-assaults-victims-wife-daughter\/\">Legard was initially charged with<\/a> first-degree murder, second-degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of kidnapping, three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of assault with intent to commit penetration, and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Box-_wrDxHtU__Box-sc-10sa3ie-0 Text-nO2aZ44r__TextBase-sc-s2hv5x-0 jJNfBD fSvavs article-text\">On Friday, June 12, Legard pleaded no contest to the murder, kidnapping and assault charges.
